Slide TOURNAMENT 2026 U12

The IMG Future Stars Tournament 2026 took place from April 19th to April 25th at TATOÏ Club in Athens, Greece, marking the fifth edition of the event.
For the fifth consecutive year, 48 of the world’s best under-12 players, 24 boys and 24 girls from 25 countries, competed at TATOÏ Club for a place in the Eddie Herr International Junior Championship (Under 14) at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

The tournament opened with a parade of all 48 players onto the main court, each carrying their country’s flag. On that same first day, players and club members faced off in an exclusive One Point Event, a sudden-death format inspired by Grand Slam rules where losing a single point means elimination. The winner, Lukas Lorincik from Slovakia, walked away with a MacBook Pro, an iPad, and $900 in Nike prizes.

After a week of intense competition, Choi Yoonseol from South Korea claimed the Girls’ title, defeating her opponent 6-1, 6-2. In the Boys’ category, Aleksander Denisov from the United States won a tight three-set final against Lukas Lorincik from Slovakia, 6-0, 2-6, 7-6 (9-7). Both champions earned their place at the Eddie Herr International Junior Championship. Trophies were presented by professional players Moise Kouamé and Amanda Anisimova, who attended the finals.

Their presence went well beyond the closing ceremony. Kouamé spent several days courtside watching matches, talking with the young athletes and training alongside them. Anisimova did the same, and also took part in a workshop held in the main hall, an interview-style session open to players, coaches and parents. Journalist Sam Smith hosted the workshop introductions and match presentations throughout the week. All 48 players, their parents and coaches attended sessions led by tennis figures including journalist and author Christopher Clarey and coach Judy Murray, alongside representatives from Wilson and Nike Tennis, who shared insights into what it takes to build a career in the sport.

Each evening, the young athletes took part in team games and sports challenges to unwind and connect with one another. All participants also had the chance to experience Greek culture firsthand, visiting the Parthenon and the Athens city centre, and tasting authentic Greek cuisine.
